Zeynep Aksoy is the most well-known figure of yoga in Turkey.

She attended primary school in London and Tokyo, graduated from Robert College and she received her Master's degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and New School University in the United States.

She started yoga while living in America for 12 years and left her advertising career to devote herself to yoga. She practiced Jivamtukti Yoga for two years.

In 1999, she spent a total of 9 months in India and studied Ashtanga Yoga with Pattabhi Jois for four months. She practiced Ashtanga Yoga for a total of one year, received training in Family Constellation and various Osho therapy at the center of Osho. She also attended Vipassana course in Jaipoor.

Back to Turkey, in 2001 she founded one of Turkey's most prestigious Yoga studios; YogaŞala with Andrew Zionts. Later, she transferred YogaŞala to Can Malta.

In 2006 she founded Turkey the other most prestigious Yoga Studio Cihangir Yoga with her husband David Cornwell.  After she left from Cihangir Yoga in 2012 she created Advayta Yoga and trained thousands of teachers.

In 2017 Aksoy and her husband David Cornwell started to teach at Code Lotus, first mindfulness center in a Turkish Hospital ; Istanbul's American Hospital.

Since 2018, she has been promoting meditation and Mindfulness free of charge to thousands of people with her YouTube channel "Zeynep Aksoy Reset". Zeynep's DVD titled "Yoga at Home" has also sold over 100,000.

Zeynep Aksoy teaches a yoga method grounded in meditation. Teachers are trained to apply tangible tools that aid in a myriad of physical disciplins and communicate the essence of yoga as well as capturing the essence of being in the body. Teacher trainings are run in Turkey and Ireland and graduate students can be supported with a network website.
